windows xp pro retail

Hi, I'm a bit new in this forums... I am in the market to buy a retail version of Windows XP Professional. Cheapest I came across was when I searched froogle.com (see link below). Anyone have experience with them? Or can you guys recommend where I can buy an authentic Retail version of XP Pro (newegg is oos).

CompUSA was selling the upgrade version for $50, no rebates IIRC. Just make sure you have an old Win95 disk or something handy and it will do a full install.

Thanks Biggerhammer, but i'm looking for the full version. I don't have a Windows 95 CD.. 🙁.. And since OEM versions restrict you to one motherboard, i'll invest in a full version to avoid re-activation headaches when the time comes to upgrade hardware. 8D..

Of course it wouldn't hurt trying to find the cheapest, legal retail version. 8D

Yeah, I got it pricematched to Kircuit Kitty because they're much closer. That was a month or so ago.

(edit: Oh, braincramp, sorry. XP Home was $50. I'll go feel dumb now, sorry about the misinformation)

Don't forget that you will still have to reactivate under the same scenarios with retail, you'll just be within the rules of the EULA to do it, as opposed to the OEM one, which says you have to buy a new copy.
