leave your current user's password blank.
Make sure your Administrator's password is set though.. Don't wanna leave that hole open..

Start -> Run = control userpasswords2 -> Un-check "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

Hit OK and it will prompt for user name / password.

Tweak XP or WIndows XP Power Toys will help you login automatically. This will rid you of the login screen.

Power Toys is a great solution -- I just ran into this problem after installing Visual Studio .NET which adds a .NET user to your machine.

TweakUI -> Logon -> Autologon
