I have been having this problem on and off for awhile and it has been starting up recently again. Seems that when I open some explorer windows or like a text file and my cursur touches the window it will close. Also happens when I open the calculator or the clock, the windows just close right away once the cursur touches the outskirts of the window. I have no idea why it's happening because sometimes it is fine. If anyone can give me an idea of why this is happening it would be greatly appreciated.
 
Last time I saw a problem like that, it turned out to be a virus.

At best, it may be a simple driver issue, such as graphics drivers.

Try rolling back XP to the last known good config, it may help
