Windows xp pro 64 bit question

Recently bought XP pro 64 bit. I haven't installed it yet and I have been reading driver support for 64 bit is lacking. I am wondering if the coa will work with the 32 bit version? Thanks
 
I would think not as XP x64 is based on the server 2003 codebase, and XP pro is based on the original codebase.
