Windows XP + overclocking

Hello,

Has anyone of you had problems booting/running Windows XP Pro on an overclocked system? BETA 2 used to boot up fine but not the final build (2600) won't load and comes out with a BSOD saying your system has been stopped to prevent damage. Windows 2000 boots up fine on the same system, so does Win2k Advanced server, and Windows Me.

Could it be possible Windows XP has some kind of overclocking check? Maybe Intel thought it might be a good idea to only allow the OS to boot on stock CPU speed?

actually for me and others i know xp overclocks more stable.my p3 can do 980 stable now compare to windows me which only gave me 933
