I was shocked and amazed to see a windows xp ad on TV today. Sorry if this is old news. I've been busy these past few months so I haven't seen much TV, but does anybody else find it a bit odd that they are advertising XP?...just seems kinda out of the blue...any thoughts comments?

It's MS's way of "celebrating" Win faboloso112 🙂

Scared of Tiger maybe?

i was debating about that...with apple current market share, it seems doubtful they're worried about it...but then again...with all the iPod hype...ive seen many more mac converts lately...

Well, I don't predict Apple having anywhere near the market share MS has anytime soon. They just might be advertising (which Apple tends to do, quite successfully, look at iPod), to remind people that Windows is still there. Maybe trying to stop all of the users that fell in love with the iPod who are now buying Minis, etc from Apple.

Of course it is a concern for them, but I hardly doubt they're actually losing sleep (on top of their big piles of money) at night over it. Maybe just trying to curb the trend of switchers.
