Ok, I'm not sure if I should buy a Mac because I've spent two days looking on Google and searched the hell out of these formus for an answer to this question :

Will Windows XP run on regular, non-pro, MacBooks?

I must have a curse or something, I just can't find the answer in textual, I need to be sure. On Apple's site, it says all you need is an "Intel based Mac". I know the new (non-pro) MacBooks are Intel based, but seeing everywhere that they installed it on Pros only, I fear I could not install it on a non-pro.

Anyway, can I have a clean answer on this, a source (how-to, faqs, whatever) and some GOOD sites on Mac?

Thanks for your patience... :(

It should work since it's pretty much the same thing as a MacMini which does indeed work. Not everything will be recognized under XP, but most will work well.

Here's a how-to:
Download Boot Camp.
Run Boot Camp.
Install Windows.
Boot to Windows.
Go back to OS X. :p

I haven't had any problems with Boot Camp. I can remote desktop through my company VPN with no problems. That's about all I use it for. :)

Nice, thanks for the answers guys. I too am taking a long hard look at a MacBook right now. I know some stuff don't work really well and I asked for a good Mac site specifically to get these informations. It would allow me to discover the whole OSX thing and still continue to use the good ol' Windows I know and love. I really think it's the best timing to open horizons and try the Mac experience.

Do you have any good Mac websites I could try? A guy gave me one (in french) but it's not really that great in comparison to a good PC site.

Just loaded WinXp on a Mac Book Pro. It works great so far. I was not very familiar with Mac OS and it took me a while to figure out that Boot Camp was in the Utilities. Setup was very easy.

These are some of the ones I've found useful...
http://macnewbie.wordpress.com/
http://www.switchtoamac.com/ (more of a news site)
http://www.macintouch.com/
http://www.opensourcemac.org/
http://www.macgeekery.com/

Most of those are blog sites, which are nice, but not really conducive to conversations.
The Apple Support forums http://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa are useful, but a lot of times it's filled with complainers which gets old after a while. But it's helpful in that if you run into problems, chances are someone there has seen it.
