windows XP New Program Installed message

Every now and then we get one of these balloons coming out of the Start button and wonder what new program was installed. How does one get to the log of when which program was most recently installed?

I'm not sure how to do it after the fact, but if the installation effects the registry, But StartupMonitor will alert you before it installs, and permit you to stop it.
