I am using XP pro SP1 which is connected to domain server (windows 2000 server). This server has proxy server that requires authentification. Since I got on this network, whenever I try to install or uninstall program, xp hangs (doesn't crash) for a while (sometimes longer than 5 minutes), before it begins to install/uninstall. Is there any solution to this problem?
Another problem is the MSN messenger not being able to get on the network. I have version 6 and in the connection to proxy setting put in all the information of proxy server including user name and password, but won't login. I am totally lost.
Netscape logs on to proxy server without problem with user name and password.
The last problem is that not able to access yahoo pop3 service. Just won't do it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
