I am having a recurring problem where I will be using my
browser and my internet connection will abruptly drop out
requiring a reset of my modem. After that I will open my
browser again and my bookmarks will be gone and all of
my browser settings have reverted to default settings.
Any files related to custom settings or bookmarks are now
gone from my Firefox/profiles folder. I have scanned for
viruses and did not find any (virus scanner NOD32).
Does anyone know what would cause such a problem?
Windows XP home SP2, Browser Mozilla firefox 2.0.0.4,
cable modem connection 6 mb/384kb, 3com 3c900b nic
card, webstar cable modem box (supplied by ISP).
