Windows XP Moving file problems

I just started having this problem today anti-virus says nothing, I haven't deleted anything and I cannot find what is wrong. All I know is that I cannot move files at all I also cannot change the sives of fields in folders like file name or size fields. Please someone help me out because I do not want to reinstall again (would be 5th time in 1.5 years).

What were the problems you encountered over the last 1.5 years?
