Windows XP MCE2005 and ATI TV Wonder Elite

Hello All,

I just recently picked up MCE2005 and installed it on my computer. Unfortunately, my tv tuner isn't working now. It worked great when I used ATI's crappy included software package, and even better with Snapstream's Beyond TV 4 under XP Pro.

Can anybody point me somewhere to help me get my tv tuner to function correctly with MCE2005? I have a support ticket currently open with ATI, but thought I'd ask here to see if anybody had a solution. I have all the latest drivers for my system and the install of MCE was a fresh install, not an upgrade install.

My current PC specs are:

AMD64 3000+
MSI NForce 3 Skt 939 (Neo2 Platinum, I think)
TI4200 GPU
1.5GB RAM
ATI TV Wonder Elite
Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

Thanks in advance,
Trevor

Need more information. What does 'my tv tuner isn't working now' mean. Is it detected by Windows (hardware manager), can you configure it in MCE? Are you not getting video? Do you have a decoder installed?

Sorry. By not working, I mean that no tv feed is getting through. It is installed with the latest drivers and was configured in MCE. I didn't install any other ATI package products, just the driver. Do I need to install the cyberlink software?

You need to install a DVD decoder in order for TV to work. I think cyberlink is one, I use Nvidia's decoder (yes, it will work with an ATI tuner and/or ATI video card).

Vista will have a decoder in the box, but for now, you unfortunately have to supply your own.
