After installing some bench mark software last night this morning my computer had an error once i logged on. here is the error
The instruction at "0xe88bd6ff" refrenced memory at "0xe88bd6ff". The memory could not be "read".
click ok to terminate the programm
Click cancle to debug.

The real problem is that the application that is crashing is Explorer.... It will restart it self over and over if you let it.

Any ideas? I need to get about 3-4 gb of info off of there before I reformat it.

Is there a light wave for XP? Maby I can get that on there so that I don't have to use explorer....

Start the computer and then press the F8 key when Windows begins to start. The Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
Use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER. You should be back in buisness, no need to reformat.
