I have Windows XP and i cannot login .. i tried the ultimate boot cd pw cracker and had no success.. its the actual logon policy not the pw.

if anyone has any information to help me, it would greatly be appreciated.

thanks, matt

The pw cracker won't do anything, youve denied the admin account to logon. Basically youre screwed, a repair install will clear it up

Yeah your pretty much SOL. By denying Administrators from logging on you won't be able to change that setting.

If you've denied the logon locally right to admins (This is a new one on me I'll admit - nice work :) ) you should still be able to change the policy from another machine then get it.

You could also roll back to an earlier setup using recovery console and your system volume information folder (your repair points are stored there)

i dont have a win xp cd only a restore partition.. recovery console isnt something that i can get to. i didnt do this.. but its the 2nd time that ive seen it done on peoples computers. there must be some type of virus or something that modifies it.. and how would i get in remotely with the admin account locked out?

The policy blocks "Local Logon"...not remote logon. That's how you get access from another machine. BTW, RDP (or TS) counts as "Local Logon".
