Windows xp login problem

Hi
I dont know what' is wrong with my xp.
I have installed XP on my PC. XP home.
Recently when i login the desktop shows for a second and then logs me out.
I tried safe mode and changed my user. but it did not work.
I am really tired of this windows problems , problemes.cant they make a pc that wont have probs.
so please help me with this, I would really appreciate it

Your log-in may have expired. There is a menu in XP Pro where you can set the Log-in to never expire. I fixed that problem by resetting my computer's date to back when I could log in. Then I could log in and make the changes needed. I forgot which menu I accessed now but figured I might send you this so you might be able to log onto XP again.

You should have seen a message pop up on your screen saying the log-in will expire in certain number of days. I am not sure if "log-in" is the correct wording.
