Windows XP keeps locking files

I keep getting an error mostly when I am thring to over write graphic files .eps from my comper to my image server.

Windows XP tell me that the file is in use. but the file is not open, in just transfering it to another location.
I've tried Unlocker it works somewhat but I would like a real fix.

I cant reinstall my system, this is for work and our IT guy has no clue nor care much.

Any help would be great.
 
Something still keeps it open restricting file operations. If you had no luck with utils you should simply start shutting down processes one by one ignoring the obvious exceptions of course. You could also try your luck with FILEMON from sysinternals.
 
Thanks I'll try Filemon too.

Oh, Unlocker keeps telling me that Explorer.exe has the file locked.
