Windows XP keeps crashing on me! How to get error log?

Windows XP keeps crashing on me randomly, almost on a daily basis. Upon restart, it tells me I just recovered from a serious error. Most of the time, it says it's a hardware error, but cannot identify the source. Several times it has hinted at the RAM (I have two 512MB sticks).

How do I go about getting the log of the system crashes? I forgot what the command is. Also, is there a way to test which RAM chip is randomly getting shot at?
