I don't know how to make it stop. There's nothing wrong with the drive since i use it every day. how can you stop this?

L LiLithTecH Diamond Member Jul 28, 2002 3,105 0 0 Sep 23, 2004 #2 Do you happen to have an HP scanner hooked up to the PC? Are you using FAT32 or NTFS? If no scanner and running NTFS, you can try the following. From a COMMAND Prompt type chkntfs /D Check Disk will run, but not on reboot.
