Windows XP - Internet Connection Question

If I have a cable modem, and two computers with windows xp (one with home, one with professional) do I need to use my hardware firewall router so both can connect on the cable modem? Or does windows xp have something where I can have both computers connect to the internet without using this hardware router?

WinXP has internet connection sharing built in. Use the Help and Support center. Believe it or not, there's good info there. Things have changed since the NT4 days.

Personally, I'd go with the hardware firewall, though.

Noggin is right. I just want to add that you'll need to add a second NIC to one of the machines if there isn't two in one of them already.
