Windows XP installation on SATA II Drive

Just got a SATA II(2nd Generation) Hard drive 250GB size.
My motherboard got 2 SATA connectors and one of them is already connected to a 40 GB drive.
I wanted to load my Windows XP Home to the new drive.
When I tried to boot from XP CD,it goes till the files are copied, shows "Starting windows"

It stops there and doesn't go further.
Where am I going wrong.
My system is P4,ASUS motherboard.

Thanks in advance for the help

Did you press F6 and provide the SATA drivers while the windows setup was starting?

You need to do this!

what chipset does your MB use. I did it few days ago, first time have the samething, then power off and redo it again, everything is fine, mine is Abit KN8 Ultra (Nforce4 Ultra), with WD 1600JS SATA2
