Help!
I was trying to cure a BSOD by doing a repair installation of XP.
I was receiving the BSOD when trying to boot into Windows the regular way
& if I tried "Safe mode with networking".

Just regular Safe mode worked.
After trying the repair installation, the BSOD pops up after the first reboot & won't let the installation continue.
Now everytime I go into safe mode it says I can't run the installation there & makes me reboot.:|
Loop-Loop-Loop

I installed XP on another partition, so the computer is up & running.
I'd like to cancel the installation on the first partition so I can export my wife's emails
from her email program while in safe mode.
I can't just copy the mail over, it won't work.

I can load the old registry & edit it,
or is there a file I need to delete?

1. Do you have the specific error message from the BSOD?
2. Have you tested your memory using MemTest and your hard drive using your HD manufacturer's diagnostic disc? BSODs are often related to hardware or driver failures.
3. What email program does your wife use?

Thanks for the reply MrChad.
She's using Incredimail.
The version I just downloaded let me import the mail out of the old folder.
I tried that on a different computer a couple years ago & it wouldn't work.

We had a power issue with the battery back-up & I think it might have corrupted a driver.
The bsod didn't list one like they sometimes do.

We're running OK now.

A friend suggested I delete the temporary installation folder that XP makes
when it starts the installation.
I couldn't ever find it.
I was looking at hidden files too.
Guess I didn't look in the right place.
