can I install winXP onto a new harddrive in my computer than take the drive out and install it into my friends computer and still have it work properly? I have a multiple license XP. I am concerned about drivers, config, etc.
 
Unless he has the same motherboard, and most likely also need the same BIOS version it probably won't work. There is always a small chance it will.
Drivers will need to be re-installed in any case.
