Windows XP install freezes

I just got two 300gb maxors and a promise fasttrack 2200 controller card, have them stripped in raid 0.now i try to install windows and when it initially copies the files it freezes every time, i've used various disks and drives. any ideas?

i honestly want to know why you posted this here.
there is:
a technical support forum
a general hardware forum
an operating systems forum

and a sticky at the top of this one that says DO NOT POST TROUBLESHOOTING questions

so, since this hasnt been locked, id like to know what rationale you, and others like you, use to decide that "highly techincal" is the place for your tech support and/or troubleshooting questions. any ideas? maybe you can answer before it gets moved, i hope so, im really interested to know how this happens and thought id finally ask someone.

Probably the ram, but why are you using raid 0? Hasn't it been proven again and again that raid 0 is nearly absolutely useless for the consumer (more money for manufacturers)?
