windows xp image?

i've just reinstalled win-xp on my laptop, and rather than go through it all over again, is there a way i can image the hdd onto a cdr? the laptop itself has no cdrw drive, so that poses another layer of difficulty 🙁

any ideas would be appreciated. thanks.
 
You could use something like Ghost to create the image file, then maybe use a USB external hard drive to transfer the image to a CD Burning machine (or network 2 machines?)
