Windows XP identifies MX460 as Quadro 4 550XGL

Anyone know why I have to change my vid card back to it's proper drivers everytime I boot the system. It always identifies my Geforce 4 MX460 as a Quadro 4 550XGL.

Very strange indeed.

Are you getting the performance of the Quadro? If so, I wouldn't question my good fortune.

How would I benchmark this, 3DMark2001?

Maybe, but I would check out the professional level benchmarks that are used in the reviews. 3DS Max and the like. I don't even know if they are free. You could always try Cinebench 2000 (it's free) and see if you are getting workstation level performance from your card.
