I have Windows XP Home installed on a local network. I can connect to a shared folder on this computer with my laptop, but cannot with other laptops of the exact same configuration. I keep getting "access denied" error messages, and once I got an error about not having a logon server to validate logins. Does Windows XP Home not allow sharing a file to more than one computer?
These shares are not in any protected directories, they are directly on the C:\ drive. And in Windows XP Home it appears I am stuck with simplied sharing.
