Windows Xp Home Vs. Professional.

Hi All,
Is there any difference between the two for a home computer? Is the added expense of the pro version overkill? No networking or anything just a computer operated by my Mom and a single cable connection to the net.

actually, home is prob. the better choice.. if set up properly, it will probably be less likely to mess up... Leave her on limited access and install firefox and let her try to to break it. Thats the way i would go.. no need for networking or gpedit...

Hello, please see the Operating System forum. There are many threads on this topic. In the situation you described, home will do everything she needs.
