Windows XP Home... Sharing and Security

Hi,

I like to know how to safely share my printer and files with another family member. Some websites mention that by doings so, "other" people can gain access to my network and files.

Both computers have XP Home SP2 along with the free ZoneAlarm firewall. Mine is connected to a Westell Versalink 327w modem/router combo, the other is using a Dlink G510 wireless card. Is this setup safe for sharing, or do I need to take further steps? If so, what do I need to do?

Also, can anyone access this site Text? I'm trying to download the SP4 Security Configuration Manager for Windows XP Home. If not, does anyone know where I can downolad this file?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You are protected by NAT on your router. The major security holes are backdoor trojans/worms and whether you run a secure wireless network. Be sure you know how to use software firewalls, because often times they cause more problems for the average user.

Don't overkill on the protection but understand it if you use it.

With my wireless network I had already changed the SSID and router password, enabled WPA encryption, etc, etc. So, I can share without any worries right? Just want to make sure.
