Windows XP Home -2- Windows XP Pro?

I know, very noob question, but I have yet to find a proper write-up on how you can cleanly replace Windows XP Home with Windows XP Pro. I tried it once on my own, and I got the darn dual-boot screen once I was finished, so I'm asking how to do it right now.

Does anyboy have a convenient link to a how-to-do a clean sweep and then re-install of Windows XP?

Thanks!

Format, then install to the newly formatted partition, if you want a 'clean sweep'. Is that really what you want, though? It sounds like you'd rather get information on how to upgrade from XP Home to XP Pro in a cleaner, better fashion. If that's the case, just install XP Home, then when XP Home is booted up and running, insert the XP Pro CD, and it will prompt you to upgrade to XP Pro. You also had the choice to do a second install; it sounds like you may have done that.

I suggest uninstalling (yes, *uninstalling*, not just disabling) any CDROM-hacking software, any CDROM burning software, and any antivirus software, prior to upgrading.
