Windows XP Help Lists hardware as "Not Supported". What does this mean in real terms?

In Windows XP Help the "My Computer Information - Hardware" page produces the following list for me. Most of the major hardware on my computer is noted as being "Not Supported." Could someone tell me what this means?
[*]Is the hardware's driver not compatible with WinXP?
[*]Does the hardware not meet Windows Logo standards for WinXP?
[*]Is Help attempting to probe the hardware for some addition pice of information and the "Not Supported" only means that it can't provide that specific detail and doesn't imply that it doesn't work with my OS
[*]Does the "Not Supported" necessairly refer to that hardware or could it indicate that my motherboard isn't supported and that would then reflect on all listed hardware?
