I am running a 4400 dual core and would like to know if I can use Home or if I should use Corporate if I have the option. I know there is a hotfix for Home XP that addresses dual core support, but how well does it work? Is Corporate any better? Also, the rest of my home computers run Home, so if I ran Corporate, would I be able to network them? I have access to both disks, but Corporate sounds like a pain in the neck for a home network.

The hotfix just releases a licensing restriction, to the best of my knowledge. XP Home should handle dual core just as well as XP Corp.

All versions of XP have the same SMP code, it's just that Home is limited to 1 physical CPU and Pro to 2. The patch just lets Home correctly identify a dual core as 1 physical CPU.
