Really, it's too hard to tell. Microsoft has a ton of different offerings and such for various levels, then there is always "Software Assurance" to get involved with.
I'd say probably guess $250-400 per seat, depending on if you get SA or not.
At this point, it might make sense to get Vista licenses and use your downgrade rights to load XP if you wish. That'd likely be cheaper than getting XP with Software Assurance.
You should be able to get a select agreement and get them on the cheap cheap. Ours are nowhere near what CDW is offering at we maintain about 2800 licenses just for our HQ organization.
Any deal that big is going to be negotiated by a sales rep and hopefully someone who knows what they are doing for the company spending the money. I'd think the cost would be significantly less than $100 a seat, and I'm not even sure Microsoft counts that closely anymore. Vista will require activation for all copies, corporate or not so this is a hole thats being patched.
