Hello AnandTech! I'm having a bit of trouble with my computer and my friend referred me here. While logged into my computer I accidentally changed the computer over from a domain to a local workgroup. I also changed the computer domain. This is a work pc, so when I restarted it I could not login. Frustrated I went and grabbed EBCD and unlocked the local admin account. I restarted and again I could not login, because the Local Login Policy would not allow me to login interactively. I need to find a way to change the login domain in the registry. I know where the specific key is Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. I have Eric Nordahl's Windows ofline registry editor and have been picking around and I finally found the key and changed it. I rebooted and attempted to login unsuccessfully. I went back in and looked at the key again, it was back to the original "wrong" domain. I then also realized that the registry was read only. What do I do!
