Windows XP. Change time-out for network....

Lifer
I just moved a share from one server to another, and some apps that have hard-coded links/tables to the old server, hang for a minute looking for the old server. Is there a registry entry that will change this time period?

Thanks!

^bump.

Still looking for a registry value I can change to shorten the time-out period Windows XP looks for non-existing network shares...

GO HERE

hit ctrl-f and search for "Registry Setting for Timeouts"

try those, they might help... no guarantees though, so be ready to change 'em back to 60 and 600 if nothing happens.
