I've been using Linux for so long I have lost touch with Windows XP troubleshooting. My sister wanted to print over the network so all I did was add a network printer, after a reboot I was greeted with a BSOD. I've tried rebooting many times to no avail, booting in safe mode also produces the same error:

unmountable_boot_volume
stop: 0x000000ED (0x817d7e30, 0xc000032, 0x00000000, 0x0000000)

Is there any hope? She has a lot of stuff on here that she doesn't want to lose and I don't feel like doing a complete restore while attempting to keep the important files.

Crists averted. I was able to fix it by running a chkdsk and fitboot via the recovery console. Thanks anyways!
