Windows XP and Video card problem

I just made a computer and installed all the parts.

My card starts Windows XP and runs fine (in VGA Save mode).. well, it runs fine before I install the drivers for it and when I do install the drivers, the screen goes blank after XP loads. The only way back is to System Restore through safe mode and uninstall the drivers to let it run under VGA Save mode. Whenever i try to install the drivers, it always goes blank after windows loads.

You should list your hardware as it may help. It looked like you have a 6800. What is your PSU? Does your 6800 require a direct PSU power connecter & did you connect it?

Sorry about that. I have:

AMD Athlon 3400, 2.4 Ghz
BFG Geforce 6800 OC
80gb Maxtor SATA HDD
1gig RAM
The PSU is from the case, its an ANTEC case, 400 W:

MAJOR update (sort of). Instead of leaving the monitor in sleep mode (which it automatically goes to) i turned it on, and it said no video input. However, quickly a blue screen flashed, and the computer restarted. I managed to take a picture of what the screen said.
