I am trying to connect two computers together that both have Windows XP Home Edition. I want to connect both ethernet cards together using a crossover cable. I do not have a hub.
I have already connected both computers with the cable, and the green light comes on in both computers. However, in the operating system, I can only see the other computer with a computer search. I cannot download files from either one. I can see the other computer, but to access file and printer sharing is hard.
Can you help?
