I'm trying to record on my Macbook with the line in and it does work. The problem is that I can only record and playback what I recorded. I want to hear what I'm playing through the speakers while I'm recording.

I can't find out how to do this.

My soundcard is a sigmetal and there are no options to allow this.

Like I said, I'm able to record but I can't hear anything until I stop and press play. I want to hear my guitar through the speakers while I play.
