Windows XP and JPEG Backgrounds

For some reason Windows XP Pro SP1 won't allow me to use JPEG backgrounds anymore. Only bitmaps.

I must have unchecked some option somewhere, can anyone give me a hand?

In W2K SP2, I have to have "Active Desktop" enabled, in order to use a .JPG background picture. Do you perhaps have AD disabled via a GPO or something, for that user?
