Ok I didn't know that EZ CD creator wasn't supported in Windows XP.
I have uninstalled it, but now when I login to my machine I get a popup in the systray that says A device or application will make windows unstable. I click on it and it pops up another window that says EZCD Creator has been disabled, etc...

my question is how do I get rid of this? I uninstalled the program, but this will not go away.

check the registry.
Hklm\software\Microsoft\windows\current version\run

Easycd leaves so much junk behind when it uninstalls

couldn't find the key in regedit :(

I was wondering if this doesn't work should I just reinstall?

I have nothing installed at all. just my dvd software.

works here with RC1, just don't install the junk extra and DirectCD.. I installed E CD Creator only and it works beautifully with Win XP 2505 (2509)...
Good Luck

Use msconfig if you can't find the registry key. I always disable all of their startup crap.

ok I still couldn't figure out how to fix this so I reinstalled CD Creator and then used the roxio.com (?) to upgrade to version 4.05

it now works in Windows XP :) yeah...

Although I still want to give Nero a shot
