Windows XP and Easy CD Creator 5.02d Platinum

Hi,

I have tried with no avail to get Easy CD Creator 5.0d to work on my Windows XP system. I figured I would ask here before I went to Tech Support at Roxio. I Installed, then did the XP_UP.exe, then did the update just like their website said, with a Reboot after every step. I am not sure what I am doing wrong, if you have any ideas or suggestions, please let me know.

Oh yeah, the errors are:

1st one:

Easy CD Creator Engine Initialization has failed!

2nd one:

Exception of CreatInstanc of Creator

I have seen the Roxio web site formula and find it bass-ackwards. I have ECDC 5.1 running poerfectly in three systems using XP Pro. These were first upgraded from 5.0 to 5.1 BEFORE I installed them in XP. Then I ran the XP_UP.EXE file on the upgraded versions and there has never been a problem. I believe you have to have 5.1 to successfully use the XP patch.
