I'm trying to install Pinnacle Studio version 7 Trial version on a system running Windows XP pro, the program keeps telling me Direct X is not installed and to install it for this program to work. I tried re-installing directx 8.1b from ms web site, didnt help, ran a program called directx eradicator to uninstall directx 8 completely, rebooted and reinstalled directx again. Still the program says directx isnt installed.
Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this, i called pinniacle, they said to reformat which i dont want to do over a software issue.
