Why does microsoft charge so much to buy a cd key from them? I wanted to buy an exta cd-key of windows xp profession edition. Wells since I have the full version, they want $269 for a stupid cd key, if i want addiontal cd key for windows xp home editon upgrade version they want $89 dollars. Heck if they are going to charge you that much, they better send me addiontal cd and books for the software.

A key costs exactly what a full kit does. They sell the software, not the CD.
