windows XP 64bit QUESTION

I have read the form about the 64 bit windows but I am still confused on a few things.

lets say unreal tornamate or any 32bit aplication will it still work?

also is there anything i should know other then get 64 bit drivers?
 
Basically every 32bit app works, unless they explicity designed it not to work. An example would be an installer that checks to make sure its a 32bit os (there are a few) or games that use starforce copy protection (splintercell 3, etc)
