windows XP 64 bit networking

i can't seem to get it to work.... what's going on? i have windows XP 64 bit edition on this computer. Mobo is an ASUS A8N-E. any help?

Is you NIC supported?

I've heard that one of the big complaints about IA64 is that device support is still somewhat lacking.

Check the MOBO site, or the site of the people that made the NIC chips.

Good Luck

i went to the ASUS website and tried to download their beta driver for windows XP 64 bit edition here:

http://support.asus.com/download/downlo...oduct=1&f_name=&type=&SLanguage=en-us#

i've run it and finished the install. my comptuers are on a router and all the other computers running on the old windows XP pro work.

EDIT: my network card actually shows up and says it's working, but I jsut can't connect to the internet.... that's the main issue.
