Windows XP (64-bit) for AMD64?

Last I heard it will be sometime between now and the end of this year, there is not a public beta as far as I'm aware.

I would also really like to see this get released sometime soon, I would love to have an Athlon64 or Opteron desktop to play with 😀

Is there a Beta available on MSDN? We have some Itanium machines, but not nearly enough for developers. I was hoping that running XP (64-bit) on Athlon64 would be make it possible for our company to have many more 64-bit machines.
