Windows XP + 4 Speaker output

I have a Guillemot Maxi Fortissimo with 4 channel out. Can't get the 4 speakers to work. Had this same issue in Win2k (even with the updated Guillemot Win2k drivers). I am sure other ppl have been bothered by this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe a .reg key or something? Thanks in advance..
