Windows will only boot successfully in safe mode, not regular mode

I recently restarted my computer, and at the user screen, nothing showed up, except the cursor, and after a few seconds, and hourglass, then it went away, and then the computer rebooted. I allowed the comptuer to do this 5 times, and then I turned it off and restarted in safe mode. Oddly enough, it worked perfectly in safe mode. However, when I rebooted again, I still had my original problem. Any help is very appreciated.

Do you have files in c:\windows\minidumps with the dates and times of this event?
 
I don't see that folder in C:\, but the computer booted fine. I don't have memory dumps enabled, so it wouldn't make any sense. However, if this happens again, would you mind if I contacted you before posting on the boards?

You need to post on the boards for me to respond.

You don't have a c:\windows folder, or you don't have a c:\windows\minidumps folder?

You need to turn on memory dumps. Not having them on is absolutely nuts.

Why did you turn them off? If they were on, chances are good you'd have a solution by now.
