Windows Vista64 and time keeping

I continue to have problems with Vista 64 and the time on my computer. Every once in a while my clock gets set back 1 hour. My bios and CMOS battery are fine.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes. Everything is set correctly.

I still have no clue as to why it does this.

I connect my Windows Smartphone to the PC once in a while but the time on the phone is always correct. The time on the PC changes at random times and not because of the phone.

I'm still stumped.

By any chance do you have a Novell client installed? I know from experience that it can cause problems of its own when it and Windows get in to a fight over synchronization.

My memory is dim, but I seem to recall that this can be a problem when either the time zone OR the year is set wrong.

In the meantime, set the Windows Time Server to "Disabled". If this solves the problem, then it's some sort of synchronization problem with Internet Time Servers. If it doesn't solve the problem, then you have an internal clock issue that has nothing to do with the Internet or Daylight Savings Time.
