Hey guys!

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to disable User Account Control (UAC) for one particular program (i.e. RMClock) rather than turning UAC off completely. I tried searching with no results. Thanks!

A suggestion from the RmClock forums....

A workaround solution for MS Windows Vista 32bit (I used Ultimate edition)...

Use "Task Scheduler" (in "Accessories"->"System Tools") to start RMClock.

In "General" tab, select Administrators group (used as an example) and tick "Run with highest privileges".

Set triggers "At log on".

Set Action "Start a program" e.g. C:\Program Files\RMClock\RMClock.exe -profile 3

Actually with the compatibility pack they can mark apps and drivers, but the task scheduler trick is easier in this case.

I tried this for speedfan and it works. Speedfan would of course run from the programs:startup but hd support isn't there without elevated permissions.

It was also interesting to see what tasks are scheduled automagically with a fresh install of vista.
